Wine Bottle Tags

Wine bottle tags

I was in Pier 1 recently and I came across these really cute drink coasters and thought that I could repurpose them into wine bottle tags. I have a recent obsession with gold polka dots and these immediately caught my eye. The coasters were on clearance, and I bought the last three packs they had. There are 10 coasters to a pack, so they worked out to be only $0.50 a piece (sweet). They are made out of paper so all I needed to do was use our hole punch and make a hole near the top. I wanted the wine bottle tag to take center stage so I selected a narrow dark ribbon to match the bottle, and simply thread the ribbon through it. Luckily, the other side of the coaster was blank and I used a metallic gold sharpie for my message to match the gold polka dots on the tag. I always appreciate it when friends add a personal touch to gifts and in this case, if you are bringing wine to a party the hostess always appreciates a reminder of who brought which bottle.

Cheers!
Sarah

Hint: you may want to cut the ribbon on a sharp angle to help it thread through the hole.
