The conversations are starting about the holidays. Thanksgiving plans are underway, wreath making parties are booked, and holiday soireés are being scheduled. It is such a fun and festive time of the year, and a special time to get married. I’ve always liked the idea of having a wedding near a major holiday. It is a pretty wonderful excuse to bring family and friends together and there’s something about celebrating an anniversary with built-in vacations days that just makes sense. Plus, you get to celebrate your wedding anniversary with the same people you spend holidays with. Here’s my riff on a Tartan Inspired Wedding (and if your curious, click here to learn the difference between tartan and plaid).

This cake looks amazing, I like how they made the layers several inches smaller in diameter so there would be room to pile the berries; they piped the edges of the layers with icing to keep the berries from rolling off {image credit}
Loving these monogrammed throws! {image credit}
Isn’t this just the most amazing tablescape {image credit}
