The Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze, CT in Style
I am partly in disbelief and partly thrilled. Halloween is a long two months away, but today, I bought tickets to the Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze. If you live in CT, NY or NJ (the tri-states) The Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze is the biggest Halloween event in the area. For 30 nights, visitors can walk through Van Cortlandt Park in Hudson Valley, NY and see more than 7,000 individually hand-carved and illuminated jack o’ lanterns. I’ve never been, but certainly heard about it from my Connecticut friends. We’re going on the weekend before Halloween because it will be a fun way to get us into the holiday spirit (pun intended). Blaze will sell out fast, click HERE to see Tickets and Times of the event.
I wanted to go last year and take the children but the event was completely sold out. I was determined not to miss it, so I took a moment and added a reminder in my calendar a year ago (don’t be impressed, I’m usually not that organized). I completely forgot about it until my iPhone reminded me that I had to buy tickets. There are still a ton of tickets available, but I wouldn’t hesitate to start planning now.
