Welcome November! After an elaborate Halloween, that I totally loved by the way – it’s nice to take a breath. Between all the decorations, costumes, parties, flashing lights, spooky music and candy – it can be a little overwhelming. After Halloween, I like to immediately de-clutter, put the decorations away and start with a clean slate again.
I recently made a trio of real apple tea light votives that are so charming and perfectly appropriate for this time of year. If you’ve been apple picking, you can put a few aside and use them for this quick project. These votives could not have been easier to make and I just love how sweet they are. I actually made them over a week ago and took the photos with my iPhone. They are still going strong, the apples show absolutely no sign of rotting. As an added bonus, the apples have made our living room smell so good!

I want to share the step-by-step photos with you below. A friend told me that she has done the same thing with small pumpkins. I’m going to experiment with the tiny white pumpkins that I love so much and use them for my Thanksgiving table.
