To all my interior design lovers, this one’s for YOU! Let me start by stating that Near & Far Aid did it again. They assembled a group of incredible homes for their annual Designer House Tour. Each house on the 2018 Tour was impeccably decorated and provided us with tons of inspiration.
I’m not sure who was in charge of choosing the homes on the tour this year, but they did a masterful job. Each home was significantly different from the rest, which made it really interesting. We saw homes that covered the spectrum from a historic home that was rescued from demolition (thank you) to a sprawling classic Connecticut home with massive windows that offered views of the pool and pool house.
Today, I’m thrilled to share images of one of the homes. It was hard to decided which house to blog about first, so I decided to publish the photos in the same sequence that I attended. This way, maybe it will feel like you came along with me!
PHOTOS! 2018 Designer House Tour Part 1
If you were not able to attend the tour this year, below are photos from the first home we visited. As you look through the photos, you’ll notice that this home had a mostly blue and white palette. The wallpaper in the foyer was an absolute SHOWSTOPPER! It ran up the walls from the first floor to the landing on the second floor. It was bright and bold and added instant “life” to the home. Designer: Amelia Johnson Design
For my longtime readers, you know my weakness for personalization and anything with a monogram. Check out the monogrammed bed linens as you browse through the photos. Monograms cannot be underestimated. They make a room feel warm and homey, like someone actually occupies the space.
Enjoy the photos, I will be publishing more later this week on the blog.
