Welcome to October! I look forward to this month so much. I’ve found that the craziness of September’s “back to school” ends when October begins. All the kick-off events for school and sports is behind us and everyone has settled into their routine. The new month brings a mellow groove and new things to look forward to.
The temperatures dipped over the weekend and we got our first taste of cool autumn weather here in Connecticut. I absolutely love the change of seasons because it means it’s time to switch out my wardrobe for fall/winter. While many people find this a chore, I actually look forward to this semi-annual ritual. I get myself reacquainted with clothes that I haven’t seen in 6 months, so it’s almost like Christmas morning here.
I don’t have a ton of shoes, but I am slowly working my way to collecting a decent inventory. I have a couple of pairs of booties, but they are all open-toe. I don’t have an issue with open-toe booties unless it gets really cold!
The ones that I am wearing in the photos above are Vanelis. I bought them in Charleston on a girl’s getaway and they have been getting a fair amount of play this year because they are so stylish and comfortable. Even though the color is rose, they are neutral enough to wear with just about anything. I’ve included a link below.
