Most Romantic Restaurants in CTThe Most Romantic Restaurants in CT

| date night last summer with my handsome hubby |

Valentine’s Day is around the corner! One of the sweetest ways to show your love is to plan ahead by doing something special. Time together is always the best gift and the options vary widely. You can plan a quiet evening in comfy clothes with a take-out picnic set up in front of the fire or tell her/him to get ready for a night on the town. Please note: If you have children and want to go out for Valentine’s Day, stop everything now and contact your babysitter. I’ll wait.

Cool. Now that you have reserved your sitter, it’s time to pick a restaurant. There is nothing wrong with going to a favorite place, but personally, I love trying new restaurants! There’s something thrilling about going someplace new and experiencing things for the first time. Valentine’s Day is a special day, and I’ve got some fabulous recommendations about where to dine.

I’ve compiled a list of some of the most romantic restaurants in Connecticut with direct links to their website so you can see the menu. I’ve eaten at many of them and can highly recommend: Paci, Bar Bouchee, Bonda, The Schoolhouse at Cannondale and Artisan. I’d suggest contacting the restaurant asap to make a reservation. Valentine’s Day is not the time to “wing it.”

Important tip! Whenever I make reservations for a special occasion, I ask the restaurant to have a chilled bottle of bubbly waiting at the table. It’s such a festive way to begin the meal and makes everyone at the table feel really, really special.

Wherever you go, I hope that the meal and atmosphere exceed your expectations. This next part is for the guys… I have to let you in on a little secret. Despite how delicious the food is, she won’t remember what she ate. Instead, she gush to all her girlfriends that you planned the entire evening, booked the babysitter and even had champagne waiting at the table. It is always the effort that will mean the most.
