Meet Marsala

January 7, 2015

Marsala Collage

Marsala Pantone Color 2015

Marsala was recently introduced as the Pantone color of 2015 and there have been a lot of mixed reviews about this year’s color selection, mostly not so good. Personally, I love the color and think that Marsala is versatile and complements almost every skin tone. The contrast that it brings when worn on lips and nails is very dramatic and sultry. When I see dark colors like this one I automatically gravitate to winter wear. Marsala looks casual in materials with texture like suede and wool, but when it takes on a sheen in patent leather like in these Christian Louboutin heels or in the silk evening robe by Zuhair Murad – the color completely transforms and looks so glamorous!
