Happy Monday! This weekend I was outside with our 3-year old and we were just hanging out enjoying the beautiful weather. She’s learning how to get her balance on a bike, it has training wheels but I get the sense she’s determined to get them taken off asap. When she was done with the bike we moved on to sidewalk chalk, she’s totally mastered drawing rainbows and is drawing them like crazy. While she was busy using the chalk, I was tidying up the small garden bed around our mailbox by removing dry leaves and cutting back the plants. And there we were side by side, lost in our own little worlds.
One of the leaves I was removing from the bed must have blown towards Catherine and as I glance over to see how’s she doing, I get presented with little gift of rainbow leaf art. I thought it was so pretty and love that she knows no bounds of what she can draw on. I grabbed my camera and took some shots as she made more. A perfectly ordinary afternoon became so sweet with a little chalk and one enormous leaf.
