Happy Birthday Connecticut in Style!
Traditionally, Fridays are reserved for Favorite Things. But this Friday is a special day. It’s Connecticut in Style’s second birthday.
I’m shaking things up today and doing something a little different. Let’s kick off the birthday celebration with a look at the horoscope for my January babes (including yours truly). This is the first time I’ve ever posted a horoscope, but I was standing in line at the supermarket and the magazine caught my eye. If you have any Capricorns in your life, I wonder how closely you think this description matches them.
| capricorn, a mermaid goat – check out the tat on her hip, kinda sexy right? || here is the greek symbol for capricorn, the v shape is the horns and the loop is the tail |
CAPRICORN: December 21 – January 19 Capricorn is a cardinal, feminine, Earth sign ruled by Saturn, the planet of lessons. Capricorns are patient, wise, and practical people, but they also can be pessimistic and rigid. Extremely ambitious, they don’t hesitate to go after what they want in life, ignoring adversity and setbacks and slowly but surely recovering when hurt professionally. Capricornians usually possess well-developed spatial skills, and an outstanding ability to plan ahead. These folks are the late bloomers of the zodiac, but they tend to be highly successful at work, and at home later in life. They can be easily bored and fussy (and refined, with manner and etiquette being very important to them). Capricornians are usually good-looking, and love to dress up in elegant clothes. Shy and reserved, they seldom show their emotions to strangers, yet with their great sense of humor, they’re funny, making them the best of storytellers to family and friends.
So basically, this is spot on for me and my personality – especially the etiquette part. It gets me into trouble sometimes when I see someone being rude or ill-mannered. It’s like road rage, but without the vehicles. This might explain the horns. The zodiac symbol for Capricorn is the head of a goat and the torso of a fish, commonly called a sea-goat. Yeah, no. I much prefer mermaid goat.
For this second birthday, I want to do “a year in review.” So, I thought that it might be fun to share my favorite blog posts from the past year. I’ve picked one or two from every month starting with January 2016. I hope that you enjoy the look back! Happy reading and have a wonderful weekend xo
