I wouldn’t call myself fascinated with Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) but I’m certainly intrigued. When I came across these Mexican sugar skull inspired treat boxes in a Michaels craft store, I had to have them. I never thought that I would say that a skull is pretty, but I do love the color combination of Mexican sugar skull designs. I’m really excited about this coffin treat box. First of all, it’s just so easy and two, it involves candy! This really doesn’t even count as a DIY because all you do is assemble the box and poof – you’re done! I thought that the coffin shape was ingenious and it is the perfect size to hold candy. I was thinking that this could be a great favor for a Halloween party!
{there are small self-adhesive tabs at strategic places to hold the box together}
{I found it helpful to first crease all the seams by bending the sides in}
{peel off the tape to reveal the sticky part of the tab and assemble the boxes}
{fill with your favorite candy}
{I have these sparkly gold self-adhesive letters and I wanted to glam-up the pumpkin}
{it helps the letters adhere to the pumpkin by first removing any dirt}
