Lately, I’ve been drawn to anything with gold polka dots. I am in the planning stages of re-decorating our home office, and I’ve been inspired by some of the walls that I seen with gold dots and leaning towards using them in the design. After doing a bit of research (aka Pinterest) the range of uses for gold dots in the different rooms in your home is impressive. From adding whimsy to a nursery room, making a statement in a corner of a room, to making a home office a little more glamorous, gold polka dots may be the way to go. The best part about them is that they are inexpensive, temporary, quick and easy. I’d use peel and stick dots that are available on Amazon (or you can get a circle stencil and paint them on your wall if you want it permanent). It is a quick makeover project that can be completed in less than 30 minutes, and if you don’t like the look – simply peel them off. Regarding pattern, I’ve seen them placed precisely apart and in a free form cascading style. I prefer the latter because I think it adds more interest and is less hard on the eyes. Here are a few of my favorite things that have been glammed up with gold dots. Have a great weekend!
