Flash Tattoos

May 19, 2015

Feature Image 2

If I was ever going to get a tattoo, I would have it around my upper arm, like an armlet. I’d probably get it in black with some celtic design, a nod to my Irish ancestors. But, I doubt I’d get anything that permanent – I like the freedom to change. Maybe that is why flash tattoos are so appealing to me. They work just like the tattoos you remember as a child. Simply cut out the shape, press it against clean dry skin and saturate the back of the paper with a wet paper towel or sponge. After 30 seconds, I gently lifted the paper away and was left with this beautiful shimmering necklace tattoo. There are so many different styles to choose from (Etsy has a large selection) and they can be applied anywhere on your body. When you are ready for a change, they can be removed with baby oil. One of the things that I like the most about this jewelry is that it adds some fun glimmer to a summer wardrobe and you can mix it with real jewelry for a “stacked” effect.

I found this set on Etsy for $17.00 and love the moroccan vibe of the blue/silver.
