Happy Friday! It’s been a weirdly productive week. The kiddos were off from school on Monday, Wednesday and are again today. We had Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday, a snow day and today is professional development for the teaching staff.
Despite having to keep them busy and entertained when they were home, I got a lot of stuff done. At the top of my list was mailing off all the giveaways from last week’s week-long giveaway. As I was creating all the address labels, I was genuinely surprised by all the states I was mailing to. Connecticut in Style has readers from Fairfield, Connecticut to San Bernardino, California. I also shipped off packages to readers who live south of here in places like Virginia, North Carolina, and Florida. Congrats to all the winners!
If you missed the giveaway, don’t worry. They’ve been such a big success that I will be holding giveaways every month. The next one will be for the guys! I am getting my hands on the best products for shaving and products for the guys who have beards. A gift card to Untuckit will definitely be part of the giveaway. My husband loves their shirts. I will make sure that I schedule the giveaway so the winners get the items before Valentine’s Day. All the giveaways will make an awesome gift for that special man in your life.
I heard from several people about the book I gave away, You are a Badass, by Jen Sincero. When they realized that they didn’t win one, they went out and bought themselves a copy. Someone told me that it was life changing. Yay! It makes me so happy to hear that! I’m not being sponsored to promote the book, I just believe in it and want to spread the word. Here is a link to the book, the paperback is only $9.59 via Amazon. It is an easy read, it is funny, it is entirely motivating and incredibly thought-provoking. But most of all, it will ignite you. It will be the best ten dollars you ever spent. P.S. It makes a great gift for a student.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend xo
