Happy Friday! If there is one word I would use to describe this week, it would be enchanting. We’ve had such a fun week with all the pre-Christmas activities. If you have been following along on Instagram, I signed up for a Holiday Bucket List. It inspires me to do one holiday-themed thing everyday until Christmas. Between baking and decorating cookies, making “marble” ornaments, creating our own sleigh, flocking a tree, and scouting around town to see Christmas lights – it has been filled with first experiences.

I’ve done things that I have never done before and it has been rewarding. Once I pushed through the mild anxiety and told myself it was okay to fail, I didn’t. The cookies turned out to be adorable, I learned that hot glue is way stronger than I knew, it takes 4 cans of “snow” to properly flock a 7 foot tree, and the people who decorate their homes with lights will greet strangers like friends.

My week was topped off with the most wonderful surprise. My friend, Susan Allabashi, artist/owner of Billington Designs, presented me with an ornament that she hand painted with my blog’s logo. I think I scared her when I opened the box because I promptly burst into tears. It completely floored me! The gift was so unexpected and one of the most thoughtful things ever. Thank you Susan for this treasure.

I will be back on Christmas morning with some highlights. Have a wonderful weekend xo
