Sweet Baby Jesus, thank God it’s Friday. I think I can catch my breath now. I’ve been feeling very overwhelmed and I brought it on myself. I naively signed up for a 25-Day Holiday Bucket List Challenge. This challenge requires me to do one holiday themed activity a day and post it on Instagram. It sounded like such a fabulous and festive idea at the time. Sure, let’s do a different activity every single day until Christmas. Fun, right?
What was I thinking? This is so much harder than I expected, but I’m determined. I’m also learning a lot along the way and enveloping my kiddos in the creative process. If you haven’t been able to follow the adventures on Instagram, below is a roundup of the activities that I have completed on the Holiday Bucket List Challenge. Before we get to that, I need a favor! On Day 10 we are to start a Family Tradition, and I need ideas. Will you post your favorite holiday tradition in the comment section please – thank you!

Day 2: Make a New Ornament for your Tree
Day 3: Send a Christmas Card to a Soldier
Day 4: Go Caroling (we are going Caroling in our neighborhood on the 17th, so I swapped this for Day 17: Make a Donation)
Day 5: Make Paper Snowflakes
Day 6: Send Out Christmas Cards (used a snapchat filter that put antlers on me and Catherine in the photo!
Day 7: Go Skating (hard to do on a Thursday with kiddos in school, so I swapped with Day 14: Bake Christmas Cookies)
That brings us to today, December 8th. On Day 8 we Make a Christmas Wreath. My inspiration for this wreath is from Martha Stewart and I love how wild and natural it looks. I took some photos that I will share on a separate blog post.
Now I am turning my thoughts to the activities over the weekend. Saturday is Day 9: Make a Snowman. As it so happens, Mother Nature’s in my court because we are supposed to get our first snowfall tomorrow (it may be the tiniest snowman ever). On Sunday, Day 10: Start a Family Tradition. Please share your favorite family tradition in the comment section below. Thank you!
Wishing you a wonderful weekend xo
