Happy Friday! Today I’m blogging from the gorgeous Sagamore Resort in Lake George, New York. The photo above was taken at about 6:30am this morning. Not a bad view to wake up to.
After such a busy and very emotional week, it feels so amazing to escape to this little slice of Heaven. And despite the fact that school started on Wednesday, I took my kiddos out of school on Friday. We are taking advantage of the long Labor Day weekend for a family holiday. Kerry and I packed up the car on Thursday morning and as soon as the school bus stopped at our house, we whisked Jackson and Catherine into the car and headed north.
Even though it is only three hours from Connecticut, Lake George feels like it is worlds away. This marks our fifth year in a row to this family-friendly destination. Everyone has “their place” this is mine. I love absolutely everything about it from the laid-back vibe to the spectacular scenery. If you have never been, click HERE to see the photos and read the post I wrote about in September last year. It is so well worth a visit.
I’m going to take a short break from blogging next week, but I will be back soon! Enjoy the long Labor Day weekend xo, Sarah
