Happy Friday! Can you tell that summer is officially here? I sure can. The tell-tale sign that we are in summer mode is the beach sand in our mudroom. It’s actually too small to be called a “room” it’s more like a closet-lined hallway from the garage to the dining room. Kerry removed the doors to the closet and I’m dropping major hints that he will be able to convert it into a functional mudroom before school starts. He’s got exactly two months, so here’s to hoping it will happen! #mudroomgoals
I could not be more excited about our weekend plans that include some of my favorite things: Friends, food and festivities. One of the best parts about living on the Connecticut Coast is the access to many beautiful beaches. When it comes to July 4th celebrations, the towns in our area do a really fabulous job. The kiddos are so excited to make “sand bunkers” in the beach, spread out their towels and watch the fireworks light up the sky over the ocean.
In case you missed them, there are links to July 4th inspired food, crafts and fun. Or, just type in July 4th in the search bar if you are looking for some ideas (i.e. S’mores Dip, Sparklers Station & American Flag mason jar lanterns) Wishing you a happy and sparkly July 4th weekend xo
