TGIF! Kerry is back home after an intensive week-long strategic planning workshop at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business. Even though we missed him all week, I plan to send him right back out the door to play golf so he can decompress. Golf used to be Kerry’s guilty pleasure until we became a baseball family and coaching his son in Little League became the priority. Now that Jackson has aged out of Little League, Kerry has a little more freedom to get back to the game he loves.
We have zero plans this weekend and I could not be happier. The weather has been incredible and I hope to get outside to power wash our deck and get it ready for summer entertaining. I’m also going to get our beach sticker and do a quick inventory of our beach gear to make sure we are ready for Memorial Day. The big box stores are getting in all their summer inventory and now is the time to get the items that seem to last only one summer, like boogie boards. If you are thinking along the same lines, here is a link to a blog post I did on Essential Beach Packing Tips.
Also, I have a small assignment for YOU! Raid your closet for a pair of jeans that you are willing to convert to cool girl cropped jeans. I grabbed a pair of scissors and made my own cropped jeans and created a fringe on the hem. I’ll post the step by step photos on how to make the jeans next week – so come back to check it out! Have a wonderful weekend, I’ll be back with a new post on Monday xo
