I’m not a weather nerd. But enough already with this rain! We’ve had maybe two sunny days this week and starting today we have seven more rainy or overcast days on the forecast. It is putting a damper in my plans for celebrating Cinco de Mayo outside at Geronimo, one of the best Southwestern food restaurants in Fairfield, CT. They have all sorts of fun things going on today, and the rain is not going to stop me.
Also, on Saturday afternoon is the 8th Annual Derby Day Fundraiser at the Pequot Library in Southport, CT. I was looking forward to sipping on Mint Juleps in slighter warmer and drier weather!
On the bright side, I got a lot of spring clean up completed before the rain. My modest garden is looking well manicured and I noticed that my beloved pink peonies are budding in preparation for blooming. I started with one peony plant from my girlfriend Alexi and they spread like crazy. My biggest dilemma is always whether or not to leave them in the garden for pretty curb appeal or cut them to fill vases.
There are lots of great events taking place this weekend, I hope that you have fun! xo
