Tonight, I’m going to the Junior League of Eastern Fairfield County’s 2015 Kick-Off Party. We celebrate a remarkable 95 years of service in Fairfield County, Connecticut! As past President of the Junior League, I am always honored to attend these events and have the opportunity to meet our newest members and reconnect with my fellow volunteers. Since its inception in 1920, The Junior League of Eastern Fairfield County’s mission and vision has remained consistent – improving the lives of those in greatest need in our community. We have done this throughout a variety of different programs over the years, and we do this by being flexible and adaptable to meet the ever changing landscape of where our volunteer efforts will be most impactful.
In 2015-2016, the Junior League’s “Healthy Families, Healthy Futures” community projects impact School Readiness in the areas of literacy, healthy lifestyles and hunger, to better prepare children to succeed in later grades and subsequently, graduate from high school. For much more information about the Junior League, including becoming a member, please visit our website at www.jlefc.org
Have a wonderful weekend!
{throw back photo of the night I became President of the Junior League of Eastern Fairfield County}
{very cool business cards I picked up from a store in Portland, ME called Waterlily. The owner, Renee Garland travels the world and took her photos and made them into her calling card}
{stick with what you like; a new dress from Waterlily has all the same colors of my favorite Marc Chagall print and I didn’t even realize it until I took the dress out of the bag}
{a new mirror above our bed, not sure about it yet…}
{this is an outrage!}
