| a sneak peek into what I’ll be packing for my Charleston getaway |
We woke up this morning to the prettiest snow fall. Even though we aren’t going to get too much of the fluffy white stuff, it was enough to cancel school. Everyone is pretty excited, including this momma who gets both her kiddos home today. It feels extra special to have it on a Friday. I love a snow day that leads to a three-day weekend!
Our big excitement this weekend is that Catherine is celebrating her 5th Birthday by having a party with her besties. Despite the fact that all the party entertainment will be “on land,” she insisted on a mermaid-themed cake. I confidently placed my faith in the cake masters at Alina’s Cakes & Cookies in Fairfield, CT and can’t wait to see it. Alina’s creations are spectacular and the cakes are totally delicious. I’m looking forward to sharing her birthday party photos with you! Have a wonderful weekend xo
| on Tuesday, this bronze statue entitled, Fearless Girl, was installed on Wall Street |
State Street Global Advisors unveiled the statue Tuesday as part of International Women’s Day. The asset management company is calling on thousands of U.S. corporations to take steps to increase the number of women on their corporate boards. The fearless girl is staring down the infamous charging bull and at her feet is a plaque that reads “Know the power of women in leadership.”
