Happy Friday! Does anyone else feel like this month has flown by, or is it just me? I have not felt like I was in-the-moment this month because there are too many things on the horizon. My blog-related highlight this week was getting a call from News 8 asking me to come on for a Valentine’s Day segment, yay! I’m still tossing around some ideas. Knowing me, it will probably be food related but I also like the idea of doing a Valentine’s Day craft for the kiddos. Jackson has outgrown school crafts, but I have someone else to look forward to doing them with. I picked up Catherine’s Kindergarten packet this week! As I mentioned to my girlfriends, I am so happy to have a little one back in school so I can participate in all those adorable parties. I am a total craft geek.
Tonight, I will be attending an Invention Convention meeting with Jackson. I begged him to come up with an easy way for parents to get their little ones buckled into a car seat. Just when I think that Catherine has the hang of it, the straps end up twisting and she needs my help. I’ve practically thrown out my back contorting myself to reach over to finish buckling her in. Jackson thought that idea was completely boring. Instead, he told me that he is thinking about the tattoo industry (I think he’s getting this from watching heavily tattooed men that have TV shows about refurbishing cars). He wants to invent a semi-permanent tattoo ink that goes on without a needle and only comes off with a special liquid that he would patent. I burst his bubble and told him that Sharpies do that anyway.
Have you ever thought about getting a tattoo? Even a tiny little one that was somewhere discreet? What would you get and where would you put it on your body? It is extremely doubtful that I will ever get one (not judging, it’s just not for me) but if I did, I like the idea of celtic-knot design circling my upper arm like in the picture below. Have a wonderful weekend xo
