Favorite ThingsHappy Fri-Yay! In the Northeast, we’ve seen and felt the first hint of autumn. Leaves are slowly swirling to the ground and I’ve found myself heading back into the house for a light jacket to insulate myself from the morning chill. I’ve said it before and I will say it again, fall is my favorite time of year. After our long and idyllic summer, I’m excited for all the events that take place this time of year from apple picking and hayrides in one of Connecticut’s many farms and orchards to the excitement of Halloween. Today, tickets go on sale to The Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze! My family and I went last year and it was so cool. I will dedicate an entire blog post to the photos I took last year. Tickets do sell out, so if you are interested, I would not hesitate to purchase them soon! P.S. I just checked the availability and many weekends are already sold out, don’t delay.
In a couple hours, I will be heading to Newport, Rhode Island for a girl’s weekend with my book club. Kristin, our Social Director, has planned an amazing itinerary for our party of eight. It includes dining at some really fabulous restaurants, shopping downtown, tours of the mansions and spa treatments. Collectively, we told her that she missed her calling as a Tour Guide. I have already packed my camera and will take lots of pics!
