Happy Friday! Now that school is officially back in session, I’ve been reminded just how special summers really are and how much I will miss that little bit of extra time to sleep in. My daughter woke us up early and sometimes if I bring her into bed with us, she’ll fall back to sleep. No sooner than we started cuddling in “the big bed” (as my kiddos call it) I realized that she hadn’t woken us up early at all. It was time to head downstairs to make breakfast, pack a school lunch and get ready for the bus. And much to my distress, the bus comes an hour earlier now due to our son starting middle school. It reminds me of a heated discussion I had with several other moms whereby we were all in violent agreement with each other that younger children who naturally wake up at the crack of dawn should be the first ones out the door at 6:30am and teenagers who stay up late at night (and need as much sleep as possible) should be the last ones out the door at 8:30am. We didn’t solve any world problems, but our mutual outrage created a bonding moment. I hope that you have a wonderful weekend!

{I forgot how much I liked these lip shimmer sticks, I have fig}
{my 3-year old insisted on wearing cowboy boots that her dad bought her in Texas and there is a strong possibility that they are on the wrong feet}
{I bought these because of the word “drenched”}
