Dreamy Fairy Lights.
There is something so captivating about starry string lights, I find them a little mesmerizing. I love the way these fairy lights make my home glow during the holidays and I decided not to wait until December to use them again. I took them out on Sunday afternoon and wrapped them around my daughter’s crib netting and draped them down the sides. It changed the entire feel of her nursery and made it instantly whimsical. I plugged them into a dimmer so I could adjust the brightness and turned them down so they were barely glowing. She went to sleep under a starry canopy and was completely enchanted by them.
The starry string lights I used are from RH. The LEDs are on bendable silver wire that conform to any shape and can be wrapped around anything from banisters to hula hoops. They come is several different lengths and can be battery-operated or come with an adapter to use in a standard outlet. Amazon has a similar product that may be less expensive. I’ve also seen them referred to as firefly lights because they look like little fireflies when they are in a mason jar. They are so charming, it seems a shame not to use them all year. I’ve collected some images via Pinterest on all the creative and imaginative ways people have used them.
