DIY Lavender Linen Spray

Ready for a super easy DIY project that will leave your home smelling incredible? Today I am sharing how to make a simple lavender room spray that will linger for days and bring a sense of calm into your home.
I noticed that our house is feeling a little stale from months of windows being closed due to the fall and winter weather. The fresh cut Christmas Tree made our home smell so good in December, and now that it is gone, I needed something to freshen up the house. Lavender came to the rescue.
I made up a batch of lavender linen spray (recipe below) to use on everyone’s pillow cases. In addition to making our rooms smell amazing with its summery scent, lavender has been long revered for its ability to calm the senses. I keep a linen sachet filled with fresh dried lavender on my bedside table, and take a few drags before I go to bed (yeah, maybe too much information). But, I have been sleeping like a baby.
I wanted to share the recipe for the Lavender Linen Spray. It could not be easier to make!
- 1 cup of water (distilled preferably)
- 2 tablespoons of rubbing alcohol
- 20 drops of lavender essential oil
- 1 spray bottle
Combine all the ingredients into a spray bottle and shake gently to mix. Spray liberally in all rooms so the scent gets evenly distributed throughout your house. You can also spray onto freshly washed pillow cases and again every time you change your bed linens. Sweet dreams!
