I have vivid memories of my early teens. There were many sleepover parties where my girlfriends and I would huddle together late at night with flashlights glowing red under our chins. We’d whisper in the dark and tell chilling ghost stories with the most terrifying endings to scare the bejesus out of one another.
Later, we’d pass around one of those Magic-8 Balls to get answers to questions about boys. Often, someone would bring a Ouija board that they found in the bottom of their parent’s closet. But above all those, my favorite foray into exploring the spiritual world was when a group of us would play the levitation game “light as a feather, stiff as a board.” It worked every time and freaked my freak!
As an adult, I’ve recently become more aware of mediumship. If you are not familiar with it, mediumship is the ability of certain people – known as mediums – to communicate with people who have passed away. I definitely keep an open mind about spirituality because I’ve had two experiences that made me say “Whoa.”
Connecting with loved ones who have passed away
Do you think that it is possible to connect with loved ones who have passed away? Have you ever had a strange experience that you can’t explain but somehow in your gut you knew it was someone who had crossed over that was trying to reach you? I haven’t blogged about my experiences because my friend, who is a medium, didn’t have a website for me to direct readers to. It seemed a bit pointless to blog about this topic and not be able to provide a connection for people who are interested in learning more. I find the whole concept so fascinating! If you do too, I’d like you to meet someone.

ANGELS SPEAK
Angels Speak has officially launched and I want to introduce you to Lisa Marie Rolleri. Lisa is a medium and an intuitive. You can check out her website HERE for more information, and her Facebook page is HERE. She lives in Connecticut and is available for in-person readings in CT or the Greater New York area. If you live outside CT/NY she can speak with you over the phone or via Skype. She connects with people all over the U.S.
Lisa and I recently met for cappuccino and her delicious homemade scones that we enjoyed on her patio. I wanted to take some photos of her for this blog post and chat about her mediumship. During our meeting, she shared the story of a recent “house clearing” she did for a family. With permission from the family (no names will be included) she recounted to me what happened. I think that it is an excellent example of the types of situations she has been asked to help with:
I received a call from a mother who was concerned that her child’s imaginary friend, may be more than imaginary.
For years, a couple had been hearing unusual noises in the home and their child had spoken of a friend called “Ton Ton.” The child had said the name “Ton Ton” since she was 18 months old, and even at age four, the child was still talking about her friend “Ton Ton” who seemed to be around regularly.
One evening, the mother was sleeping in the guest room because her husband was snoring and she couldn’t sleep. She took the baby monitor with her so she could hear if the child stirred during the night. Later that evening, she woke to hearing the voice of a man speaking clearly through the baby monitor. Assuming it was her husband, she headed to the child’s room to see if everything was alright. On her way, she passed the master bedroom to find her husband sound asleep. When she arrived at the child’s room, there was no one in the room but her sleeping child.
She called me the next morning and I went to the home to ask the “spirit” to leave. When I drove up to the street, I saw a figure dressed in a Revolutionary War period uniform – who identified to me as Thomas (a toddler might pronounce Thomas as Ton Ton). When I entered the home, he was very present as a coolness that I recognize as spirit.
I lit sage and a blessed candle, called in my guides and went about clearing the home. Thomas thanked me for helping him be with his family and allowing him to leave this earth-plain. He also commented that he had a child of the same age and was happy to be reunited as he missed them. When I completed my work, the mother shared a picture her child had drawn of “Ton Ton.” The family has since contacted me to thank me for the peace in their home and to let me know how much warmer it feels.
Below is a picture that the child drew of “Ton Ton.” If you know your history, the flat hat and long jacket are typical of what a Revolutionary War uniform looked like.
