Boyfriend Jeans – Sarah O’Brien, Founder and Editor of Connecticut in Style

There is something so romantic and sexy about wearing your boyfriend’s or husband’s clothes. It must be a universal thing to want to grab an item of clothing that belongs to your favorite guy and figure out how to incorporate it in your wardrobe. Occasionally, I’ve been in a pinch for clothes and have ransacked my husband’s closet for something to wear and tried to figure out how to look stylish in something that is several sizes too big. Boyfriend jeans became fashionable years ago when women started wearing their boyfriend’s jeans and would roll the cuff up because they were too long. Very quickly, women realized how soft and incredibly comfortable they were and came up with inventive ways to pair men’s jeans with other elements (think heels) to end up with a chic and feminine look. These days, they come in a wide range of styles from loose-fitting to skinny, and worn to distressed. Boyfriend jeans have three distinct attributes compared to other jeans.  They have to be: 1. distressed 2. relaxed fitting 3. cuffed. Best places to buy: Rag & Bone, J. CREW, CITIZENS of HUMANITY.

Here are 20 gorgeous, inspiring street style images on ways to wear your boyfriend jeans.

Sarah
