By the time February comes around, we have had many steady days of frigid weather. There are some days when I just can’t get warm. I walk around in sweaters and wooly socks, sipping my hot tea and I am still cold. On days like that, sometimes the only thing to drive the cold out of your body is long soak in a hot tub. When we renovated our home ten years ago, one of the things we added was a soaking tub. We gave the tub one of the nicest spots in the house so we could enjoy the view. Ours is situated so that it overlooks our backyard and we can enjoy the trees when they are in full bloom in spring and summer. During the winter, we lose the privacy that the canopy of trees give us. We end up drawing our curtains and I didn’t realize how much I’d miss the view. I saw this gorgeous photo on Harpers Bazaar and I can only imagine how cool it would be to take a bath 1,396 feet in the air. It is located in Manhattan, and is the tallest residential building in the Western Hemisphere – higher than the Empire State Building.
