Summer is calling! Today we are going behind the scenes for another tour of a Connecticut Designer House. This home is very different from the first home I blogged about last week. I’m calling this one the Beach Party House. This home is located just a stone’s throw away from the beach and you can tell that it has been designed for fun!
The bright pops of yellow and turquoise definitely set a care-free tone that makes you feel like you can sit down. Sometimes I see photos of people’s homes and their furniture looks too stiff and uninviting. This house was just the opposite. It felt totally lived in, relaxed and free-spirited.
One of the things that struck me was the easy access to come and go as you please. The ground level is a place all onto itself, with a swimming pool, dining room and den. A small grass yard is fenced in with surf boards hanging up near the gate that leads to the beach.
There are lots of free-flowing spaces, comfy sofas to plop down on and an open floor plan that lets all the natural light in. Not to mention the ocean breeze that blew back our hair and made us all want to call this place home. Enjoy the photos!
