The art of flower arranging

March 14, 2016

bring in the spring updated

What could be better than spending the afternoon with friends? Imagine sipping on cocktails, enjoying a delicious lunch and then having some fun with a hands-on class where you learn the art of flower arranging and you get to take your beautiful floral creation home!

Gather your friends for an afternoon of lunch and bright beautiful flowers to bring in the spring! If you celebrate Easter, this gorgeous bouquet will be ready to adorn your table or you can give it as a hostess gift if you are spending Easter at someone else’s home.

The idea is that you’d begin with a delicious lunch at 1:30pm (sold separately) in the “Greenhouse Room” at The Chelsea restaurant in Fairfield, CT on Saturday, March 26th. Around 2:30pm, we’ll swap our lunch plates for vases. I will instruct you on how to make this gorgeous fresh flower arrangement for you to take home while you sip on a cocktail custom-made for this event. The class will last for 60-90 minutes so you can plan on the class ending around 3:30pm-4:00pm. For more information about the workshop and to register, scroll to the bottom or click here. I hope to see you there!

Easter Flower WorkshopIn the meantime, let’s talk about different ways to style the same bunch of flowers. At the event, we will all be making a fresh flower arrangement similar to the one pictured above. But, the best part about workshops like these is that everyone will put their own unique stamp on the arrangement. If you give ten people the same bouquet of fresh cut flowers, everyone will make something slightly different – but they’ll always beautiful once you know the tips. In the end, it comes down to personal preference.

the hydrangea is the headliner in this version

Easter Flower Workshop

the hydrangea is much smaller in this one, and has been moved to the middle – I also clustered the same type of flowers, versus spreading them throughout the arrangement

Without the greens

same as above, but there are no greens near the base of the arrangement and I removed several flowers to make it more loose

I’m not loving how large this “Buy Now” button is. It’s not pretty, but it works!

Just remember to first click on the down arrow below the Quantity to select the number of spots that you want before you press the big BUY NOW button that will take you directly to PayPal. PLEASE NOTE: Due to the nature of this fresh flower event, refunds are not offered. However, feel free to give/sell your spot to a friend if your plans change and you can’t make it.
