25 Gorgeous Kitchens with Farmhouse Sinks

If the heart of every home is the kitchen, then the heart of every kitchen is the sink. The sink is the most used area of any kitchen and deserves disproportionate attention compared to other elements of the kitchen. The sink is also home to one of the most stylish accessories – the faucet.
Total sidebar. I have “a thing” for faucets, especially a bridge faucet. I look at faucets the way other women look at a Hermès handbag. You know the feeling. Your heart starts to beat a little faster and you stare at it like it’s the most beautiful thing in the world. Sigh.
When we remodeled our home 12 years ago, I was responsible for picking out all the cabinets, fixtures and appliances for the kitchen. We went with cream-colored cabinets and a galaxy black granite countertop. The appliances are all stainless, so it made sense at the time to pick a stainless steel sink as well. It is a double sink and very deep, which is super helpful when hand washing pots and pans.
As much as I love my kitchen (click here for the tour) sometimes I daydream about re-doing a couple of aspects if it. My taste has changed a bit over the last 12 years and I am definitely favoring the look of expansiveness that a white, or mostly white kitchen provides. I know that if I had to do it all over again I would select a quartz or granite countertop that looks like Carrara marble and farmhouse sink.
I pulled some (actually, a lot) of my favorite kitchens with farmhouse sinks from my Pinterest Board. I love the all-white look, but wonder if it would feel cold and sterile? I’ve included cabinets in ice blue and grey that warm up the space to give it a more cozy feeling. The farmhouse sink is not just for the kitchen, it is being used in bathrooms too!
