10 Transitional Outfits To Wear Now

10 Transitional Outfits to Wear Now

Sometimes I feel like I mention the weather a lot when I’m blogging. I’m not saying it’s his fault, but I’m blaming my husband for this. Every morning before he leaves for work, he gives us the current temperature and what the forecast will be for the day. He’s weirdly obsessed with the weather and I think it has to do with his Midwestern upbringing. On top of that, he’s always dressed appropriately for the elements.

Me, not so much. I wear whatever I want and don’t give the weather a second thought. One of the rituals we have is when we go on a date night goes like this: After I get dressed, Kerry will look me up and down, and ask me if my shoes are comfortable (they rarely are) and then he’ll tell me that I should wear a coat (I rarely do). He’s still confused about why I don’t even own an umbrella.

After many years of marriage, he is wearing me down. Between juggling our schedule and two kids, I am looking for outfits that look as chic as they feel comfortable. As you know, we are in a transition period from winter to spring. Early this week, I dressed in my warmest winter coat to take Catherine to preschool only to get outside to find that the temperature was pretty mild. A winter coat is too heavy, but a sweater is not enough. The solution is a sweater coat (you might also know it as a blanket coat). Basically, it is a long sweater that will keep you cozy and chic. Win win. It’s the ideal item for your wardrobe that will stylishly take you through these next few weeks of inconsistent weather. I’ve curated some images that I love and hand-picked 10 sweater coats that you can shop.

I know what you are thinking. Part of you thinks that she looks like she’s wearing a shag carpet. The other part of you is wondering if perhaps it is really beautiful with a bohemian vibe. Will it help if I told you that this sweater coat is a top seller?
