Of course I’m talking about the highly anticipated Nordstrom sale, aka NSale. You probably know that Nordstrom’s is having its yearly anniversary sale. If you don’t know about this, here’s the deal in a nutshell. Starting on July 21st through August 6th, you can shop brand new arrivals at sale prices. It’s pretty awesome. Prices WILL go up on August 7th, so you need to take advantage of this sale now. I know it is really hard to think about fall and winter clothes in 80 and 90 degree weather, but this sale is worth planning ahead for.
As for me, the weather doesn’t affect my ability to shop. I’m a self proclaimed shopaholic and there is no place that I won’t shop. I love everything from a small tag sale to a multi-acre flea market and I am as happy snagging a $10.00 sale item at H&M as I am laying down $100.00 in Nordstroms. Especially if that $100.00 item is deeply discounted.
Here’s why this sale is kind of a big deal. Generally speaking, the clothing that Nordstrom’s carries is designer-label. This means that not only are these items extremely chic, they are of better quality than other department stores. Also, these are NEW, as in “just arrived” items that haven’t flooded the market. Taking advantage of a sale like this is really smart. You can buy something that you wouldn’t normally splurge on because the price point can’t be ignored.
I scoured the entire Nordstrom site (I have early access because I am a Nordstrom card holder) and curated the best Nordstrom Anniversary Sale items from less than $100.00. Instead of a product collage, I used large high res images so you could see them up close. Get your credit card warmed up and start shopping!
Before you scroll down to see my picks, let’s talk about trends. I’m noticing a lot of metallics emerging in shoes, back packs and jackets, tie-front tops are really popular and the one huge surprise that I never dreamed would come back. Wait for it. High waisted jeans! I think that we called these “Mom Jeans” back in the day. They’re baaaack so bring on the crop tops.

First things first. Aren’t these sunnies awesome! The retro tortoise frames with the fashion forward blue lenses are so stylish. It reminds me of cheetah print with denim, one of my favorite fashion and interior design combinations.
Ever since I bought a pair of Ralph Lauren canvas slip ons, I’ve been weirdly obsessed with shoes made from cloth. The woven texture of these shoes make them so interesting. They can be worn with a dress, a skirt of any length, shorts and jeans. Grey is a perfect color for fall. A very versatile shoe.
And here is the grey top to go with the Avalon Slip-Ons. A cozy, but stylish fleece pullover with bell sleeves. Buy these two items and pair them with any jeans you have in your closet and this could quickly be a fall outfit that you can wear once a week. No fuss, just fashion.
These 7 for all mankind jeans squeaked in at 10 cents below the top of the budget! Look how great they are with a simple pair of loafers. This is a little masculine (not that there’s anything wrong with that) so if you are a girly-girl, pair these jeans and loafers with a top that’s really feminine (think ruffles).
I’d probably wear this tie-front top with leggings (not the jeans shown on the model) because it is long.
Very fun off-the-shoulder-top! It combines a form fitting sweater with a crisp, button down shirt. It works so well because so many elements are being mixed (color, texture, shape, and fabric).
I bought a pair of black leather pants ages ago, and thanks to the simple cut, the are timeless. I get a compliment every time I wear them. This faux leggings are a good substitute for only $53.00 dollars. I like the metallic sheen.
It’s important to have something unexpected and a little whimsical in your wardrobe. I’ve included this beautiful Ted Baker Tote.
This bootie should be a staple in your fall wardrobe. It comes in several colors, I’m leaning towards the black. However, I am a total sucker for red shoes.
