I continue to be fascinated every time I see something come back into style. Just when we all thought that we’d never see bell bottom jeans again, they came back as “flare” jeans. Denim skirts reemerged (which thrills me to no end) and jean jackets have never left. There is however, one denim item that I wish would have died out with the dinosaurs. But, much to my horror, dungarees are back – and you will never find me wearing them unless I am at a costume party.
Speaking of jeans, I’ve been waiting patiently (with a lot of eye rolling) for the high-waisted Mommy jean craze to be over. I am happy to report that we are in the clear. I don’t care who you are – they don’t look good on anyone.
If you are curious to know what you’ll be seeing on the racks when you are shopping, I’ve compiled a list of fashion trends that are back. They range from feminine delicate chokers to leather jackets. There’s a huge 90’s urban vibe coming at us this spring, let’s get to it!
Fashion Trends That Are Back
Here is a roundup of fashion trends that you’ll be noticing. I’ve linked up some of my favorite pieces in each category. Happy shopping!
Chokers – I love these! Chokers look amazing on everyone. When someone wearing a choker, I can’t take my eyes off them.
Denim skirts – How cute is this skirt! I’m pretty much infatuated with these. I subscribe to the “they look good in any length” club. From minis to maxis, they are a cool fashion statement.
Windbreakers – these seem random, but spring is coming and so is the rain. Might as well rock the breaker. The image above is obviously of a man, but I would wear this windbreaker in a heartbeat. It’s only $69.00 which is a steal for this brand. For the women’s version, click HERE.

Transparent/Sheer Clothes – I’ve been seeing these in stores, especially with floral embellishments. Wear them with a tank top or if you are brave enough, a bra in a matching color.
Camo pants/leggings – to be honest, I am not sure if these ever made a real exit, but they’re in stock. I’d pair these with a simple white t-shirt and booties or sneakers or dress them up with one of the black sheer blouses from above and strappy black sandals.
Romantic shades – soft, dusky hues of blue, pink and green you’ll be seeing a lot more of in stores. Free People does it again with this gorgeous top. Hurry, this top will sell out fast!
Leather Jacket – real or a convincing faux (preferably), a leather jacket is incredibly stylish. I’d rank a leather jacket among the most versatile pieces of clothing and a must have item in everyone’s capsule wardrobe. The one I linked above is a Who What Wear pick and comes in 5 colors including…black and white.
