Elegant Fall Decor

October 8, 2018Exteriors

Hi guys! Do you feel ready for fall? I sure do! October is officially here in all manner of ways. There’s been that first crispness in the air, the leaves are beginning to turn, and I am buying pumpkins by the armload!

I’m still trying to decide which way to go with our front door decor this fall. I planted ferns in the two urns that flank our front door. And they are ginormous. I’m not kidding. This year, I added Miracle Grow to the regular watering and it made a big difference. Also, the weather conditions this summer were perfect for ferns. We got a lot of rain and humidity creating the ideal conditions for them to thrive.

Even though ferns are not consider traditional “fall like” foliage, there is no way I am getting rid of them. I’m going to figure out how to incorporate them in our fall decor. I’ve been scouring Pinterest for new fall front door decor and rounded up a gorgeous group of images below. These elegant front door decor projects range from complex to simple and can be edited to accommodate your style and space.

Are you more in favor of the warm colors like yellow, orange and red – or do you prefer the green, pink and plum colors? Our house color is pewter, it’s grey with a brown undertone. Also known as greige. Our outdoor lights and front door are black so I’m leaning towards the plums because they will complement the house better. Don’t worry, I’ve include some beautiful images with the traditional warm and rustic colors that are so pretty this time of year. Enjoy!
