I hope that everyone had a lovely Mother’s Day! Kerry planned the ideal day for me and the kiddos. We took a leisurely stroll on Main Street in Ridgefield, Connecticut, did some window shopping, took a few photos and then had a delicious meal at Bernard’s. If you are ever in the area, you need to check out this restaurant.
Sometimes I forget how pretty Ridgefield is. It is one of the most picturesque towns in the area, known for its classic CT homes. It is always such a pleasure to simply walk around in such a historic area that is quintessentially Connecticut. One of my favorite drives is along Ridgefield Road to take in all the stunning architecture. It seems like each house is more beautiful than the next.
Speaking of beautiful homes, I had the chance to tour a handful of them last Friday. I attended the Near and Far Aid Home Designer Tour with my girlfriends and was able to take a lot of photos to share with you. I realized that I have enough for several blog posts, so later this week, I’ll show you another house (equally as beautiful) – so stay tuned!
If you love interior design, mark your calendars for a year from now. This is such a perfect day to hang out with your friends and support the amazing work that Near and Far Aid provides to the local community.
The photos that you are about to see are from the first house that we went to. The palette was mostly grey and blue and it was so serene and inviting. I went crazy over the fabrics on all the rooms! My favorite room in the house was the sunroom, situated near the kitchen. I loved the sectional sofa and again, the pillows are so pretty. Everything looked like velvet – so soft and luxurious. I hope you enjoy the photos!
